The Atira Women’s Arts Society, a non-profit in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, empowers women through art and craft. They provide safe spaces for arts-based wellness activities for women, including trans, two-spirit, intersex, and femme-identifying non-binary individuals, who experience violence and marginalization. The Society’s purpose is exclusively charitable, offering these women opportunities to create and sell their work.
