Crown Cap headgear has a ninety-year history. For a brief while, let’s go back to the post-Depression era, when the Prairies were engulfed in a terrible drought for ten years. Those who worked the land attempted to find respite and protection from the strong sun and unrelenting heat, even as the circumstances wrecked havoc on the Western Canadian agriculture trade.
In 1934, the concept for Crown Cap emerged, ushering in an almost century-long prosperous journey in the production of textile headgear. From our modest beginnings providing fitted work caps to farmers, we have grown to become Canada’s biggest hat maker and top headgear designer.
