Northeastern Folk Art is a collaborative venture between Erin McArthur, a potter, and Mike Gillan, a stone carver and chef. Their shared passion for Raku, an ancient Japanese firing technique that imparts a unique crackly, coppery sheen, fuels their creativity. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant culture, seascapes, and landscapes of Newfoundland and Labrador, they craft a diverse range of porcelain and Raku creations, including bowls, mugs, magnets, pins, and other distinctive ornaments.
