Abundant Acres is an organic farm in Nova Scotia’s Hants County. It consists of a frequently flooded salt marsh, highland pastures, and forests on the tidal Cogmagun River. Our farming objectives are diverse. Our top objective is to grow the best-tasting, healthiest food for our own use and that of our customers. Breeding and selecting potatoes and Red Fife wheat for disease resistance, taste, and production when grown ecologically is our longest-term endeavour. The biodiversity of this farm is well-known. The nut trees, orchard, gardens, natural spaces, salt marsh, ponds, perennial plants, medicinal herbs, poultry, and woodlands are all noted by visitors.
