The Baddeck Farmers Market‘s objective is to build a thriving market that promotes local food production and economic sustainability while also encouraging a sense of community. Through teaching and developing links between customers and Nova Scotian producers, we promote the benefits of locally made and sourced products (primarily Cape Breton based).
While the market focuses on food, it also sells handmade crafts and agricultural items that aren’t food. The market intends to distribute 60 percent food and 40 percent non-food products to fulfil its objective. Service providers are not accepted by the market.
