Beginning in 1946, Comeau’s Sea Foods was established. Bernardin Comeau worked tirelessly to lay the groundwork for Comeau’s Sea Foods by being tenacious and determined to make his mark in the little fishing community of la Baie Sainte-Marie, Nova Scotia. Oil, herring, scallops, and herring meal are among the products we offer. We provide a variety of value-added items, such as scallops wrapped in bacon, smoked fish products from J. Willy Krauch and Comeau, smoked mackerel, breaded scallops, seafood spreads, seafood chowders, crab cakes, and fish cakes. Our desire to lead the industry in seafood gathering and processing has also encouraged us to diversify into services that support it.
