Hubbards Barn Association, Nova Scotia - Manufactured in Canada Farmers Markets products

In the late spring of 1996, the Hubbards Farmers’ Market was first conceived. Deborah Fleming, Lin Cahill, and Gillian Maycock all met during “Take Part Aspotogan” seminars held throughout the winter. They were all ardent gardeners who favoured shopping locally and purchasing high-quality goods made there. Through the years, the Barn and the surrounding area have been improved to become the Hubbards Barn & Community Park thanks to the tireless work of community volunteers and the funding from different institutions and grants. The market is able to run annually, provide a strong, dynamic venue for over 35 local producers, promote local performers, and provide free space to community groups because of the strong community support.
