Victoria’s Arctic Fashion (V.A.F.), a newly established design label, blends traditional northern clothing and accessories with a contemporary aesthetic. It was founded in 2014. Since its founding by Victoria Kakuktinniq, V.A.F. has become a beloved Parka brand in the North and throughout Canada. Victoria has shown off her creations at the fashion weeks in Toronto, New York, and Paris. In addition, she won the Business of the Year Award at the 2015 Nunavut Trade Show. Designs by V.A.F. are available for purchase in Greenland and Canada. With an emphasis on sustainability and the use of traditional textiles, furs, and skins, this distinctive design perfectly captures the essence of traditional Inuit parka design.
