Konzelmann Estate Winery, nestled in picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, boasts the unique distinction of being Niagara’s sole lakefront winery, hugging the shores of Lake Ontario. Its origins trace back to Uhlbach, Germany, near the 19th century’s close, where restaurateur Friederich Konzelmann transitioned to winemaking. Building on his success with restaurant house wines, he released his first vintage in 1893. Eventually, he produced an impressive 200,000 litres annually, showcasing Germany’s esteemed aromatic varietals. This rich history, combined with its stunning location, makes Konzelmann a celebrated Canadian winery.
