Jacob MacKellar, a farmer and entrepreneur who was born and grew up in Alvinston, Ontario. Jacob studied Agricultural Production and Business at college, but his edamame education was entirely self-directed and taught. Jacob’s first harvest came in 2010, and by 2011, MacKellar Farms’ edamame was available in a number of Toronto supermarkets.
Our objective to produce high-quality edamame at MacKellar Farms is based on the health of our fields and our agricultural expertise. Our edamame is made in accordance with the strictest food safety regulations. MacKellar’s edamame, grown and harvested by a fourth-generation family farm, is one product that caters to everyone’s demands.
