Red Canoe, Ontario - Canada's Clothing Products Manufacturers

Red Canoe, established in Toronto, Ontario, was born from a 1999 bush plane flight over northern Ontario’s untouched wilderness. Dax Wilkinson, a Sudbury native living in Toronto, was inspired by the deHavilland DHC-2 Beaver, a quintessential symbol of Canadian ambition and accessibility, during a flight with a bush pilot friend. This experience, likened to a Harley Davidson in its passionate following, sparked the idea to create a product line honouring iconic Canadian stories, including the Beaver’s crucial role in shaping the nation. Drawing inspiration from the symbolic red canoe, representing the rugged, idyllic Canadian lifestyle, Wilkinson aimed to preserve and share these often-overlooked narratives.
