Us & Coutumes was founded in 2013 with a passion for furniture and objects and the belief that design is a powerful instrument for creating things that would otherwise be impossible. In a world where the link to the production of things has been gone, we were looking for meaning and a feeling of purpose. We wanted to make functional items while also thinking about how we form and interact with our surroundings. We gradually built a distinct product model for our items, combining vibrant colours, high-quality hardwoods, expert craftsmanship, and flat-packed furniture. To put it another way, it’s a mix of tradition and modernity.
