Search Tips

**At this time, the search words have to be English language.**

You can browse the pages, categories and tags, or you can use the search box for something specific.

Page:

These are the individual listings for each product or business. Example: https://manufacturedin.ca/nova-scotia/woodworkersworkshop

Category:

These are the provinces. The most recently aded show first. Example: https://manufacturedin.ca/province/nova-scotia

Postal Codes:

The wordpress tags we us for the postal codes organizing. Example: https://manufacturedin.ca/province/nova-scotia/b0h1n0 Also consider entering the postal code in the search box (the six characters with no space) or you can enter the first 5 characters of the postal code to see what is in the neighbourhood. If you don’t see any extra results, then use the first 4 or 3 characters of the postal code to look further afield in your neighbourhood.

Product Topics:

These are the keywords we associate with a manufacturer. The most recently added show first. Example: https://manufacturedin.ca/products/woodworking Topics are generalized, we put specific information in the page description.

Search box:

  • You can use a word or words in the search box. Example: peanut butter, will product search results of all pages that have the word peanut and butter in them. But if you are looking for the food spread peanut butter, then use this example, ‘peanut butter’, using the quotes to search for that specific phrase.
  • The search function will search all text, including town/city names and even street names. The town, city and street names are not complete for all listings so keep that in mind.
  • Example: Portland Street, might appear as ‘Portland St.’, or as ‘Portland Street’, so we suggest you just search for, Portland. If several search results come back, you can search for, Portland Alberta, (no quotes), to see more specific results.
  • Example: If you are searching for products in Québec, you will get the best results if you use the spelling Québec (including the acute accent above the letter e) as that is the French spelling.
